Where It Started

Finding an In-Home Spa Pro

Was a Guessing Game

Weddings, bachelorette parties, corporate events, or just a quiet Sunday at home. People wanted spa professionals who could travel to them. The problem was finding one they could trust.

  • No central place to find vetted spa and beauty pros willing to travel to a client
  • Instagram DMs and word of mouth left clients guessing on availability, pricing, and legitimacy
  • Spa professionals had no simple way to list their traveling services and reach clients beyond their immediate network
  • The best technicians were invisible to clients searching five miles away
What We Solved For

Two Sides,

One Trusted Marketplace

Clients and professionals needed completely different experiences, but they had to meet in the middle. We solved for discovery that felt effortless, onboarding that felt easy, and trust that felt earned on both sides.

Discovery That Starts With Location

Clients start with where they are and what they need. Location and service sit side by side in the hero, so the right pro is one search away, not a scroll through endless filters.

A Free Onboarding That Pros Actually Finish

Three steps, visible progress, limited choices. The signup wizard was designed to help professionals finish their listings instead of abandoning them halfway through.

Trust Built Through Verification

A visible Verified badge on listings signals vetting. Clients know who to trust before they inquire, and pros know what to earn by completing their profile.

The Client Side

Search, Browse,

and Book With Confidence

Location-and-service search widget on the home page. Six service categories: Massage, Nails, Hair, Esthetics, Skin Rejuvenation, Make up. Listings pages, service detail pages, and a Book Now inquiry flow built to turn curiosity into bookings.

The Pro Side

Free Signup,

Full Dashboard

Google or email signup with email verification. A 3-step onboarding wizard that walks pros through About You, About Your Spa, and Your Services with a 4-service highlight limit. A dashboard for cover photos, packages, services, listings, and inquiries, all editable inline.

Design Decisions

The UX Decisions

Behind the Product

Why make a dual location + service search the hero of the whole site?
Arrow UP

The entire job is “find a pro near me for this service.” Leading with that one search removes every other decision and gets people to a result in a single step.

Why a Verified badge on professional listings?
Arrow UP

You’re inviting a stranger into your home or event. A visible verification mark is the trust signal that makes people comfortable booking without it, a marketplace like this stalls.

Why a 3-step onboarding wizard for professionals instead of one long form?
Arrow UP

Supply is everything in a marketplace. Breaking signup into About You → About Your Spa → Your Services keeps it light, free, and far more likely to end in a complete, bookable listing.

Why design the professional side as a full dashboard, not just a profile?
Arrow UP

These aren’t casual users they’re running a business. Cover photos, packages, services and inquiries give pros real tools, which keeps them active and the supply side healthy.

Why warm terracotta and serif type instead of clinical spa blue?
Arrow UP

Wellness is about calm and indulgence, not a clinic. A clay-and-cream palette with an elegant serif feels premium and relaxing it sells the experience, not just the booking.

Why build out both the client and professional experiences in full?
Arrow UP

A marketplace only works with supply and demand. Designing both sides to the same standard means neither feels like an afterthought clients find quality pros, and pros find real customers.

How We Built It

From Brand Mark

to Live Marketplace

Brand first, then the client experience, then the professional side, then every state that lived in between. Delivered as a live two-sided marketplace at mobilespafinder.com.

Build the Spa-Luxury Brand

Circular badge logo, terracotta palette, elegant serif. The brand had to feel like a boutique before it felt like software.

Design the Client Experience

Location-and-service search, listings, service categories, booking inquiry. Discovery had to feel like three taps, not a form filled with filters.

Build the Professional Flow

Free signup, 3-step onboarding wizard, dashboard with cover photos, packages, services, and inquiries. The pro side had to feel manageable from day one.
