Bio Xin
Skincare, Made Personal
Bio Xin Cosmeceuticals is a leading Bangladeshi skincare brand with 20+ branches. Taqwah designed a mobile app that turns the whole brand into one personal experience: build a skin profile, shop by concern, book treatments, and track your skin over time.
The Project,
At a Glance
End-to-end product design for a personalized skincare app, from skin profiling and shopping by concern to treatment booking, checkout, and skin tracking, built in English and Bangla.

A Big Offline Brand
Needed One Mobile Home
A 20+ branch brand with a wide product range and in-clinic treatments had no single, personal place for customers to shop, book, and stay engaged between visits.
- Products, branches and clinic treatments all lived in separate places
- Customers got no personalized guidance between store visits
- Shopping, treatment booking and skin advice were disconnected
- The brand needed to feel personal and trackable, not like a generic shop

A Skincare Experience
That Feels Personal
The app had to win three jobs at once: guidance, commerce and services, without feeling like a generic store. Every decision kept the experience personal and local.
Personal From the First Tap
A guided skin profile (type, concerns, goals, city and language) drives the products and treatments each person sees.
Shop, Book & Track in One Place
Browse by concern, book facials at a nearby branch, check out, and follow skin progress: one connected relationship.
Built for the Local Market
English and Bangla throughout, saved Home / Work addresses, and Cash on Delivery alongside online payment.
Profile First, Then
Shop, Then Track
We started from the person, not the catalogue: understand the skin, match the routine, then design the shop, the booking and the tracking loop around it.

Mobile App Design for
Skin That Changes
The same warm identity wrapped around fast, friendly flows: build a profile, shop by concern, book a treatment, pay, and track results, designed for everyday use.

The Design Decisions
Behind the Product
Skincare is personal. Asking about skin type, concerns and goals first lets the app recommend the right products and treatments, so the shop feels made for you rather than generic.
Bio-Xin serves a local Bangladeshi audience. Letting people choose their language from onboarding removes friction and makes the brand feel built for them, not translated for them.
The brand is both products and clinics. Keeping shop and booking in one app turns separate transactions into a single ongoing relationship around the customer's skin.
Cash on Delivery is still the trusted default for much of the local market. Offering it next to online payment lowers the barrier to a first order without excluding anyone.
Results take time, and progress is the reason people stay. Tracking changes over time turns one-off buyers into a long-term routine, the retention hook the whole app is built around.
From Skin Profile
to Launch Ready App
Every screen traced back to one question: does this help someone understand and improve their skin? Experience first, then the system, then the flows.
Define the Experience
Map the person's journey (profile, concerns, goals, language) and the moments that matter between store visits.
Build the Design System
Color tokens, the Classica type scale, an 8 point spacing scale and a full component library in gold, black and cream.
Design the Flows
Shop by concern, treatment booking, checkout with COD or online pay, and the skin-tracking loop, plus every error and empty state.
A Skincare App, Built to Keep
20+
A multi-branch brand with a wide product range and in-clinic treatments, unified into a single personal mobile experience.
2
Bilingual from onboarding onward, so the app feels built for the local market rather than translated into it.
4 in 1
Guidance, commerce, treatment booking and progress tracking in one connected flow, the reason customers come back.
End to end
Delivered in 2023 as a complete system: brand, design system, hi-fi screens, interactive prototype and a dedicated error-screen set.
