Athletx

Train, Learn, Gear Up

Athletx connects athletes with verified pro coaches, wraps it in a social training feed and performance tracking, and adds a gear marketplace on top. Taqwah has been designing the entire ecosystem for over a year: brand, mobile app, web app, marketing site, and admin panel.

Where It Started

95% of Athletes Never

Get Pro Level Coaching

Elite drills, strategies, and performance tips sit behind closed doors. Most athletes train from YouTube clips and guesswork. Most coaches have no simple way to turn their expertise into a real business.

  • Pro-level coaching lives inside gated academies and private circles, out of reach for the players who need it most
  • Social platforms give coaches reach but no verification, no subscriptions, no path to earn
  • Athletes track progress across three apps and still miss how it all connects to training
  • Gear, coaching, and content all live in different places, so nothing feels like a complete training system
The Brand

Brand Identity Design

for Athletx

A lightning-bolt "A" in a forest green squircle anchors the mark: spark, power, and forward motion in one glyph. Bold italic athletic typography carries the wordmark. Deep green and warm cream alternate across every screen, giving Athletx what the brand manifesto calls "the premium sports feel."

What We Solved For

Three Audiences,

One Coherent Product

Athletx had to serve athletes, coaches, and operators without turning into three different products. We solved for one brand voice, one visual system, and one experience that scales across mobile, web, website, and admin.

An Athlete Experience Worth Returning To

Discover, subscribe, watch drills, track progress, buy gear. Every tap on the mobile app had to feel like a step forward, not another dashboard.

A Coach Business, Not a Profile Page

Verification, publishing tools, subscriber growth, and earnings tracking turned coaches from content creators into actual business owners inside Athletx.

An Admin Panel That Runs the Platform

Managing coaches, verification queues, content, subscriptions, and orders needed its own thought. The admin panel kept operations clean so the product could scale.

The App

Mobile App Design for

Daily Training

The athlete facing core. Feed, Explore, Shop, and Profile on the bottom nav. Explore coaches by sport, position, and country. Subscribe to a coach and watch drills designed by someone who played the position.

The Web App

Browser-Grade Training

on a Full Screen

Same account, bigger screen. Drill of the week, exclusive drops from subscribed coaches, trending sessions tagged by league and hashtag. The web app gave athletes room to watch, learn, and shop without squeezing it onto a phone.

The Admin

An Admin Panel That

Runs the Whole Platform

Dashboards for coach verification, user management, content moderation, subscription tracking, marketplace orders, and platform analytics. Built on the same green and cream brand language, so operators feel like they are inside Athletx, not a generic admin skin.

Design Decisions

The UX Decisions

Behind the Product

Why build a verification program instead of letting any coach sign up?
Arrow UP

Pro coaching is only valuable if athletes trust the coach. A visible verification badge turns Athletx from a feed into a credential it keeps quality high and makes the content genuinely worth paying for.

Why combine coaching, performance tracking, and a gear marketplace in one app?
Arrow UP

Athletes already bounce between a video app, a tracker, and a shop. Putting all three in one place closes the loop you learn a drill, measure your progress, and buy the gear to do it, without ever leaving the app which also deepens engagement and gives coaches more ways to earn.

Why forest green instead of the usual red or neon sports colors?
Arrow UP

Red and neon scream hype; Athletx is about mastery and trust. A deep forest green with a warm cream base reads premium and calm the premium sports feel and instantly sets the brand apart in a category that all looks the same.

Why a “Subscribed” vs “Trending” split on the feed?
Arrow UP

Athletes want two different things: the coaches they already pay for, and fresh talent worth discovering. Separating the tabs protects the value of a subscription while still giving new coaches a path to be found.

Why lead with coach profiles and stats instead of just a video wall?
Arrow UP

People subscribe to a coach, not a clip. Surfacing subscribers, posts, videos and playing credentials up front helps athletes judge credibility fast and makes the follow/subscribe decision feel earned.

Why a subscription model with auto-renew and an easy Turn off auto-renewal?
Arrow UP

Recurring revenue is what lets coaches treat this as a real income stream. Making cancellation and auto-renew controls obvious builds the trust that keeps people subscribed longer — hiding them would do the opposite.

Why design a web app, mobile app, and admin panel as one system not just an app?
Arrow UP

Athletes watch on the couch, coaches create at a desk, and the platform needs oversight behind the scenes. One shared design language across all three keeps the experience consistent and the brand coherent everywhere it shows up.

Why the lightning-bolt “A” as the logo?
Arrow UP

It does two jobs at once: the bolt is the spark of power and energy, and its forward lean reads as an arrow progress and moving forward. One simple mark carries the whole promise of the product.

The Website

A Marketing Site That

Sells the Mission

Full-bleed sports photography, the "95% never get pro coaching" manifesto, and the three-pillar story: Train with verified pros, Earn as a coach, Gear Up through the marketplace. Built to convert both athletes and coaches from the same scroll.

What Shipped

A Complete Sports Platform, Still Growing

800+

Frames Across One System

Brand, mobile app, web app, marketing site, and admin panel, all designed as a single connected product. Three audiences, athletes, coaches, and admins, move through one coherent experience instead of five disjointed tools. That coherence is what makes a platform feel trustworthy enough to pay for.

3 Audiences

One Product That Serves Each

Athletes training daily, coaches building a following, and admins running the platform each got a surface built for them, without fracturing the brand. Paid coaches stay protected while new talent still gets discovered, so every user type has a reason to stay.

1+ Year

Retained, Not Replaced

AthleTX didn't hire us for a one-off handoff. More than a year of continuous work, with new flows still shipping as the platform scales. A client keeps a design partner that long only when the work keeps earning it, the strongest trust signal a case study can carry.

Still Active

Proof It Keeps Delivering

This isn't a finished project to admire from a distance. AthleTX is live and still growing with us across every surface. The best proof of a design partner is a client who's still choosing them today.
